Things That Don't Work...
...besides Mom, okay?
Got more? Tell me! I have carrier pigeons ready to go to the coders! I know where they hide!
* Missing Tracks. Working on this now.
* Preview button in the forums simply posts, does not preview. AGAIN-- no matter how nicely you ask, or how many times-- it still POSTS!!

time!
* The shoutbox and the buddy list on the community page should be reversed-- the shoutbox should be on top. I have to scroll to the South Pole to get past my buddy list.
* Buddy list should rotate the last user who logged in/out to the top of the list.
* File ordering. When I tell a file to stay, I mean STAY!!
*Folder ordering in the file manager is not working either, unless it actually SHOULD say 1,2,0....
* Licensing. Who forgot to pack it?
*Replacing a track -- it says fix, and it shouldn't. When we upload a track with the same name, it should simply replace it. This is for more recent tracks. The files that were broken often require a more tortured process-- upload, change song file (the old file, not the new one), delete the old file, then make the track visible. And that's IF you don't get the dreaded "Problem replacing file" message

Then you're just screwed.

I can't find any way around that, not even renaming the upload.
* For an hour now, I've been online for 0 seconds. I'm going to get a complex if this keeps up, because I'm pretty sure I am here.

So now -- I log out, and I'm still online. I'm good, but not that good!
* Admin tools-- you know which ones I mean! They still don't work!
* Featured user on the community page. I love Pete, but it's time to change.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, because an elephant never forgets-- and if you ask me if I'm an elephant, I'll get you for it!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fill in the metatags on your tracks!! It takes you maybe a few seconds to do it, if I download 20 new tracks a day-- those 20 probably will not be played on DMusic Radio until I have time to tag EACH ONE!! Make me

and tag your tracks,

PLEASE NOTE: Replacing Tracks!!
The file manager is currently being picky. If you have any questions or need any help, please ask me! I'm happy to help... and there are about 3 different ways to upload without losing your comments, as I'm learning. The following methods may/may not work. If in doubt, PLEASE ask me!
If you are attempting to replace the tracks that are currently turned off, and you do it WRONG, you may lose your comments into the great Google Jungle. This is how it worked before:
1. Upload the replacement track using the same TITLE as the track you are trying to replace. TITLE... that's all. Don't delete anything! The file manager, if it's working properly, should replace the old one with the new one automatically, and trying to delete the old file WILL result in the loss of your comments.
2. If you are one of THOSE people (yes, I'm kidding, I love you all!) with something strange like the fruit-flavored pc, or the obsolete Model-T browsers-- you should test first. I don't have those to test for you.
3. If in doubt, test! Make two small files; name one George, for instance, and the other Barack, just for an example. Upload George, and make sure it streams first. Then upload Barack, but when you name the track, name it George, just like the one you want to replace. Then upload. Now stream it and see... and if you want to test the comment part, let the female handle that. Just comment, something like "Hillary was here. Who left the toilet seat up again?!" Now, when you replace the file, the NEW file (Barack) should be what you hear, but it's still called "George" and the comment should be intact.
4. Don't overthink this. Just give the new track the same name, and the file manager will do the rest for you. But if in doubt, always test on a hidden spot first.
5. In its current incarnation, the file manager will require you to "fix" the file. Just click on that word, and the file will be replaced without losing the comments.
If you have a Mac, and use Firefox, Rodrica has worked out a way to reupload... and much thanks to her for taking the time to share it with us!
